NMA Honors Nepal’s Distinguished Musicians

Appreciating renowned Nepali musicians for their contribution to Nepali music, the Nepal Music Association Awards 2075 honored a dozen musicians on October 10, 2018 at the Rastriya Nachgarh.

The awards were presented by Minister of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari, Nepal Music Association Chairperson Milan Moktan and Sanskritik Sansthan Manager Rajesh Thapa.

Award Winners

Following were the award winners of the National Music Association (NMA):

  • Veteran musician Bhola Joshi received the Pushpa Nepali Distinguished Music Honor
  • Musician Bulu Mukarung received the Shivashankar Manandhar Honor
  • Musician Shambhujit Baskota was conferred the Lalsamundra Honor
  • Singer Ananda Karki was awarded Pradeep Rimal Honor
  • Kamal Chetri was awarded Madhubaabu Thapa Honor

Other NMA award winners include Bed Gurung and Anant Wagle.
