Chinese Book Explores and Exalts Nepal’s Culture and Heritage

Celebrating the culture and heritage of Nepal, the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing released a book titled The Temperament of Nepal amidst a special program on August 15, 2019.

The book in Chinese language and is written by Tsinghua University Chinese academicians Hu Yu, Shen Qinyi, Wan Ningning and Zhang Jinbao.

The book lets readers read into the experiences of the Chinese academicians during their stay in Nepal during the summer of 2018.

Speaking at the event, Nepal Ambassador to China Leela Mani Paudyal appreciated the Chinese academicians works which highlight Nepal’s rich culture and heritage through the book.

“I appreciate the authors’ efforts to disseminate information about Nepal’s tourism attractions among the Chinese people,” said Paudyal.

Talking about his work, Author Prof. Yu said “In fact, Nepal was an abstract concept for us before going there,” while adding that he was deeply impressed by Nepal’s magnificent beauty.

“Nepal is rich in cultural heritage and it has its own glorious history,” he further said. He encouraged the people of his country to visit Nepal.
