So far, Nepal has confirmed 75 coronavirus infection cases and zero death cases. However, 16 patients have already discharged after a successful recovery.
As of today, the global coronavirus infection cases have reached 3,580,691 while the death cases stood at 248,532.
Currently, there are 2,172,800 active cases, 2,122,767 in mild condition and 50,033 in critical condition. However, 1,159,359 patients have already recovered and discharged.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), 6 Nepalis in Nepalgunj-8 have tested positive for COVID-19 on May 3, 2020, taking the total number of COVID-19 cases to 75.

With this, the number of COVID-19 cases has reached 15 in Nepalgunj alone.
So far, the Nepali Government has conducted tests on 63,108 coronavirus suspects, 13,420 through the PCR method, and 49,688 through the RDT method.
According to MoHP, around 23,411 coronavirus suspects are in quarantine and 77 in isolation in various parts of the country.

Even though the total coronavirus cases in Nepal are insignificant, the country is witnessing a regular rise in infection cases.
With the growing coronavirus threat, the Nepali Government is planning to extend the nationwide lockdown for another two weeks until May 23, 2020.
The ongoing lockdown is supposed to expire on May 7, 2020.
