Nepal Reports 52 COVID-19 Cases, Zero Deaths

So far, the Nepali Government has reported 52 coronavirus positive cases and zero death cases. Even though the total tally is minuscule, the country is witnessing new COVID-19 positive cases regularly.

As of today, the coronavirus has infected 3,017,776 people and claimed 207,722 lives, globally. Among the total confirmed cases, there are 1,909,006 active cases and 894,494 recoveries.

COVID-19 in Nepal:

According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), Nepal has reported three COVID-19 case on April 26, 2020 taking the total number of cases in the country to 52. However, 16 patients have already recovered and discharged.

 

A 50-year-old man from Jhapa has tested positive for COVID-19 at the Biratnagar-based Koshi Hospital on Sunday evening.

Earlier on Sunday morning, the MoHP has confirmed two coronavirus cases from Birgunj.

So far, the Nepali Government has conducted tests for coronavirus on around 51,000 suspects. A total of 9,932 samples have been tested through Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method and 41,436 through Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) kits.

Around 17,025 people are currently in quarantine across the country and a total of 110 people have been isolated with 3 in Kathmandu Valley and 117 outside the Valley.
