COVID-19 Nepalis: 1000 Infected and 15 Dead in USA

According to the US Government, a Nepali national died from coronavirus on April 28, 2020, taking the total number of Nepalis losing life to 15.

Mahesh Panthi, a resident of Virginia State, has died while undergoing treatment at a local hospital.

Among the 15 deaths, 12 died in New York, 2 in Colorado and 1 in Virginia.

So far, over 1000 Nepalis have been tested positive for coronavirus in the US and are undergoing treatment.

According to the NRN Global Health Committee Coordinator, Dr. Sanjeev Sapkota, a total of 54 Nepalis living in the US, UK, UAE, Turkey, Ireland, Netherlands and Japan died from coronavirus so far.

As of today, the US has reported 1,036,417 coronavirus infection cases and 59,284death cases.

However, Nepal has reported only 57 coronavirus positive cases and zero death cases.
