The month of May seems to be an awful period for Nepal as it turned the COVID-19 situation in the country from ‘mere acknowledgeable‘ to ‘devastating.’
Nepal’s coronavirus tally doubled almost every week in May. It was just 59 cases on May 1, 2020, but had reached 1042 on May 28.
Today, Nepal has recorded the highest single-day COVID-19 cases with 156 new infections. With this, the country’s total count crossed one thousand mark.
So far, Nepal has reported 1042 coronavirus infection cases, with 5 death cases and 187 recoveries.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), one person from Lalitpur has lost his life due to the contagion, taking the country’s death toll to 5.
