The delegates representing Washington DC-based Nepal Development Consortium (NDC) reached Pokhara to explore investment potentials in Gandaki State, on February 11, 2020.
The US team has interacted with the entrepreneurs and industrialists of Pokhara.
During the interaction, the NDC founder Dev Dutta Das encouraged the local entrepreneurs and industrialists to be ready for joint investments and explore potential areas for further interventions.
He said that the entrepreneurs have potential investment opportunities in various areas including cancer hospitals, tourism hotspots and agriculture.
“US northernmost large city Seattle has several small mountains. There are many ski resorts. Manang and Mustang of the state also possess such potentials”, Das added.
He further informed about the upcoming visit of the Governor of Washington Jay Inslee to Nepal at the invitation of Gandaki state chief minister Prithvi Subba Gurung.
“Jay’s visit will create possible opportunities for signing agreements on investment in different sectors”, he said.
Another NDC founder Murti Kalkora persuaded the local businessmen to take strategic steps to make the enterprises successful.
He incited them to pay heed to production ratio, planning, workforce selection and management, and local culture.
The NDC and the Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry jointly organized the interaction meeting in Pokhara.
