US Embassy in Nepal Opens Applications for 2021 Diversity Visa (DV) Today!

The USA State of Department will open applications for the 2021 Diversity Visa (DV) program from 9:45 PM on October 03, 2019.

According to the US Embassy in Kathmandu, the application period will remain open until November 05, 2019. Applicants can apply for the Diversity Visa free of cost.

The US Embassy has asked applicants to apply for the DV on their own, without help from consultants. However, they can take help from family members, friends or trusted persons.

It has also mandated that all family member details should be ‘briefly described’. Furthermore, the new policy change for 2021 mentions that applicants should include details of their spouse and unmarried children below the age of 21 for a valid entry.

Not being able to provide the above details will call for a disqualification.

Rules for Application:

• Applicants will have to submit only ‘one’ application with a recent photo – without glasses/spectacles and hats
• Entries submitted with photo from last year’s DV application will be rejected
• The Embassy has made it mandatory for applicants to provide Passport No., date of expiry and email ID
