CII ConMac 2018 to Address Nepal’s Construction Sector Woes

Presenting a huge opportunity for Nepal’s infrastructure sector, India’s Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is a holding a construction equipment exhibition in Nepal’s Bhaktapur.

In a press meet on November 19, 2018, CII announced that the largest construction equipment exhibition will be held between November 22-24, 2018 at Sallahghari.

“With the participation of Government of India, CII ConMac 2018 – An Excon Show, will be the largest focused platform for the construction equipment industry to showcase their technology and equipment for the accelerated growth of the infrastructure sector in Nepal,” read CII’s statement.

The 150-exhibitor event of international scale is organized by CII & the Embassy of India, Nepal and is supported by the Federation of Contractors Association of Nepal (FCAN). Furthermore, it is expected to draw more than 10,000 business visitors from across Nepal.

CII ConMac 2018 member and MAW Earthmovers Chairman Vishnu Agarwal claims that the exhibition will be an unmatched platform bringing world-class construction equipment under one roof.

“Through this event, a new benchmark for professionalism will be established in Nepal paving the way for more such exhibitions in different sectors,” he said at the press meet.

CII ConMac  2018 and FG Incorporated Pvt Ltd Kedar Lamichhane said that the event will also present a great opportunity for contractors to avail financing options on equipment purchase and equipment manufacturers special offers.

The ConMac 2018 will allow contractors to compare various manufacturers machinery & technology and make informed purchases.

According to CII’s press statement, the exhibition aims to assist and empower contractors in view of Nepal’s large skilled manpower shortage. It will give them insight on capacity enhancement and technology within the construction sector.
