Nepal was never colonized by British and does’t celebrate Independence Day as it was never occupied. It’s the only country with a non-rectangular flag (moon at the top and sun at the bottom) that has a basic design in use since more than 2000 years. Nepal remained a kingdom until 2008 from 1768. It was in 2006, Nepal was declared officially secular by its parliament.
